Is Substack Uber-Driving for Writers?

This is not a shitpost, promise.

I started this post by reading 10 optimization posts about how to grow your substack and it seems pretty much agreed that having an editorial calendar or some sort of plan makes the most sense so you’re not floundering post-to-post. Anyway, I will not be doing that.

I had this grand idea that I would prepare for my post today. I would write it beforehand and maybe only proofread it today before it goes out. Except I tried that and without a real deadline, I now have nine beginnings of posts that I know will feel like punishment if I ever go back in to try and finish them.

It’s like taking home leftovers that you were halfway meh on inside the restaurant and then punting that shit down the road as if you will want to eat it in three weeks time. Oh, I’ll just fry it with some eggs!

What a terrible lie.

I will not be frying any suchshit with any eggs.

There is not enough hot sauce in the world.

I cannot be fooled!
